Employment of medical and health services managers is projected to grow 29 percent from 2023 to 2033, much faster than the average for all occupations.1 CTU’s online Master of Science in Healthcare Management with an Informatics concentration was created to help you explore how to use technological solutions and data analysis to improve the quality of healthcare delivery.
Explore data management approaches to managing patient-centered electronic health data. Examine health information systems, delivery systems and classification systems. Review innovative approaches in computer science, information technology, and decision science, used to deliver and enhance care. In a capstone project case study, you will have the opportunity to use innovative IT approaches in data analytics to develop a framework for the redesign of a patient-center electronic health data system for a health organization.

Program Overview
The Master of Science in Healthcare Management with a concentration in Informatics is a 48-credit-hour program that is offered online. The program consists of 28 credit hours in the healthcare management core with 20 credit hours dedicated to the informatics concentration.
This degree program is designed to guide students in the study of informatics, information technology, and information systems as they integrate with and apply to the principles of health care management. This program examines innovative approaches to information technology and computer science that are needed by leaders in the health informatics field to improve the quality and delivery of health care services.
This program does not lead to additional licensure or certification. As such, CTU has made no determination regarding prerequisites for licensure or certification in any state or jurisdiction.

University DeanDr. Rose Nieves is the Dean of the College of Nursing for Colorado Technical University. In this role, she leverages her vast experience as a nursing leader, educator and healthcare provider to help assess, mold, develop and direct the College of Nursing.
Dr. Laura Sliwinski, Ph.D.
Executive Program DirectorDr. Laura Sliwinski joined CTU in 2020 as the Executive Program Director for Health Studies in the College of Nursing and Health Studies. Dr. Sliwinski has over twenty years combined experience in healthcare and higher education administration.

As you work to complete your MSHM with a concentration in Informatics, you will be immersed in courses where you will study these topics and much more: health policy-making in the United States, the policymaking process, and the effects of health policy across the country; the evolution of the use of information systems in healthcare; and financial operations of a healthcare organization.
Courses for the Master of Science in Management in Information Systems Security start Online approximately every five weeks. The MSHM degree program consists of 48 credits. You may be eligible for transfer credit, which is evaluated on an individual basis. Not all credits are eligible to transfer.
